📄Stormwater Regulations:
The Town of Walden has adopted a Stormwater Ordinance, codified as Title 14, Chapter 3 of the Walden Municipal Code, which governs stormwater regulation within the Town. This ordinance addresses a range of stormwater-related matters. Its purpose is to protect and enhance the environment and the public health, safety, and welfare of Walden residents by controlling pollutant discharges into the Town's storm water system and by maintaining and improving the quality of receiving waters. Title 14, Chapter 3 further provides that the Town may exercise the powers granted under Tennessee Code Annotated § 68-221-1105 and §§ 68-221-1107, including the authority to adopt rules and regulations necessary to accomplish stormwater management purposes. In addition, the Town of Walden participates in the Hamilton County Water Quality Program and complies with its Interlocal Agreement, Rules and Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures, and applicable Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit requirements.
